Your REAL ESTATE CONNECTION

Real Estate To Meet Your Every Need

CLUTTER, CLUTTER EVERYWHERE!

Do you suffer from this condition? Let the Real Estate Professionals help out with these relatively inexpensive ways to de-clutter your home:
  • Make use of wall space by installing shelves (be sure you anchor the shelves to wall studs).
  • Create an “in” box, and then be certain to clean it out every week.
  • Place small items in containers and place them in cabinets rather than on shelves.
  • Donate, donate and donate those items you don’t want, or don’t use. Consider calling Goodwill, the Salvation Army, Project Retap or Compass House to name a few.
  • Devote the first, or last 15 minutes of each day to get organized (and clear out clutter).
  • Place anything you don’t want to keep, but don’t want to discard in case you might need it, into a “Might Need” box. After six months, go through the box again and toss what you haven’t used.

Still need more room? Time to move!

CONSIDERING A MOVE? ANALYZE THIS...

Condition How well maintained is your house? What needs updating? Does it need a new coat of paint or wallpaper? How old is the roof, furnace, and appliances? Is the basement dry? Address these issues may add value to your house?

Location Is this a sought-after area? How good are the schools? Are you near public transportation? Are taxes high or low in your community?

The Market What other houses are for sale in your area (the competition?) What are mortgage rates? Is it a seller’s or buyer’s market?

Access Buyers usually feel a sense of urgency; they want to see everything, and they want to see it NOW. A lockbox provides access when you’re not home. The good news is that increased access increases the chance your house will sell. The bad news is that you have to keep your house neat all the time!

Pricing Each of the factors listed above will influence what price you will get for your house; the actual asking price is up to you!
